Indonesian Minister of Defense Visit Sesko TNI Bandung
Detiktoday.com – After visiting Palangkaraya in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto continued his work visit to the Indonesian National Army Staff and Command School (Sesko TNI) in Bandung, West Java, Friday (10/7).
During his working visit to the TNI Sesko, the Minister of Defense who was accompanied by the TNI Sesko Commander Marsdya TNI Dedy Permadi, S.E., M.M.D.S., gave a briefing to the Regular Education Student Officer (Pasis Dikreg) XLVII Sesko TNI. Before giving the debriefing, the Defense Minister was welcomed by the Indonesian Military Command and Military Command and the ranks of the honorary ranks.
To Pasis Dikreg, the Minister of Defense conveyed the Main Principles of National Defense Policy in the Context of Facing Task Challenges. The Minister of Defense revealed to face challenges and threats, several general defense policy principles were formulated which included military and non-military defense policies.
The main points of military defense policy consist of development policies, capacity building, mobilization and use of force, regulation, budget, and supervision.
While non-military defense policies consist of development policies, capacity building, use and utilization of national resources, regulations, budgets, supervision and control, as well as implementation policies.
This General Policy for National Defense should be a guideline for Ministers or Heads of Institutions and Regional Governments in setting policies in accordance with their respective duties, functions and authorities.
For this reason, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces must be both movers and encouragement for other Ministries / Institutions in implementing the National Defense General Policy into the Implementation of National Defense through work programs, both for the medium and short term.
“Pasis must be ready and dare to die for the sovereignty and honor of the nation as has been done by Battalion Commander I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Daan Mogot and Yos Sudarso,” the Minister of Defense’s message to the TNI-Polri Pasis.
Before giving a briefing to the TNI Base, the Defense Minister had the opportunity to listen to the presentation delivered by PT Pindad Director Abraham Mose. The event continued with a review of the display rantis.
In his presentation before the Defense Minister, the Director of PT Pindad explained about defense and security products, industrial products in the form of agricultural machinery (alsintan) and support for covid-19 in the form of ventilators and mobile labs.
Regarding defense and security products, the Director of PT Pindad explained about the 4×4 light rantis, medium tiger tank, PT Pindad mortar capability, S-60 cannon retrofit and 57 mm munitions. It also explained matters relating to Harwat Tank Scorpion, Leopard and AMX-13 and assault rifles for Koppasus in collaboration with Caracal.
This time the debriefing was attended by 166 Pasis TNI – Polri of 170 students from the Dikreg XLVII Sesko TNI, four of whom were international students. The four international students come from India, Pakistan, the Philippines and Singapore.
During his visit to the Sesko TNI, the Minister of Defense provided 14 pieces of book titles, each with 200 titles in which two of them were written by the Defense Minister.
