DIY Province Best Handles Covid-19

He said he appreciated this because all the performance parameters implemented in DI Yogyakarta were very good in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.

The PDI-Perjuangan faction politician said that the House of Representatives Commission VIII together with partners in the context of handling Covid-19 gave serious attention to development programs in the region, including social welfare development through budget support for the Family Hope Program (PKH), Social Empowerment Program through the Joint Business Group, the Disaster Risk Reduction Program through the development of disaster resilient villages and disaster prepared villages, Non-Cash Assistance, compensation and other social protection budget support.
“The Covid impact social assistance program is planned for 2020 there is an increase in the target for the Hope Family Program from 10 million Beneficiary Families (KPM) to 15 million KPM with an additional budget requirement of Rp. 17.885 trillion,” he explained. In addition, continued the legislator in the Jambi electoral district, there was an increase in the target of basic social assistance from 15.6 million KPM to 20 million KPM with an additional budgetary requirement of Rp. 7,950 trillion.
“As for social assistance in the Ministry of Social Affairs budget in 2021, Commission VIII agreed to an additional Ministry of Social Affairs budget in 2021 based on the indicative ceiling of 2021. Proposed additional budget of 2021 and plans to increase the target of PKH and groceries totaling Rp 91,911 trillion,” concluded Ihsan.
