THE MINISTER INVOLVES CHILDREN FORUM OF FAMILY HEALTH PROTOCOL CAMPAIGN

Detiktoday.com – The Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA), Bintang Puspayoga invites Child Forums throughout Indonesia to take a role in minimizing the spread of Covid-19 in family clusters. Minister Bintang asked all parties to be involved in massive socialization and campaigns related to the Family Health Protocol to the community according to the local wisdom of each region. The role of the Child Forum as a Pioneer and Reporter is considered to have an important role in the peer environment to prevent the spread of the virus.

“The highest appreciation and gratitude go to the Children’s Forum throughout Indonesia for the real work through the various activities that you have done in increasing efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 during this difficult situation to peers throughout Indonesia. You are extraordinary children, ”said Minister Bintang in the Dialogue and Socialization of Family Health Protocols with Child Forums throughout Indonesia (17/10).

The involvement of the Children’s Forum in the campaign is in accordance with the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo to Minister Bintang on September 24, 2020 to continue to aggressively carry out the 3M Campaign (Wearing Masks, Washing Hands, Maintaining Distance), especially in the family environment. This instruction is based on the increase in the number of family clusters last September, namely 1,100 clusters (Ministry of Health data). The spread in clusters in this family is due to the presence of family members exposed to Covid-19 outside the home. If it is not handled immediately, it is feared that this cluster will accelerate the expansion of the Covid-19 cluster in Indonesia.

This has not escaped the attention of President Joko Widodo through the PPPA Ministry to make various efforts to prevent and handle the Covid-19 outbreak in the family cluster. Children must take a role in campaigning for 3M, namely always wearing a mask, keeping a distance, and washing hands diligently. This aims to protect all members of our family from contracting Covid-19; provide appropriate treatment for family members who are vulnerable to risk; and ensure that every family member gets correct, current and relevant information about the prevention and handling of Covid-19.

During the dialogue, the representative of the Children’s Forum from East Java, Hana Salwa Nuha, told of the negative stigma from society after she was exposed to Covid-19 from her father. However, Hana admitted that she did not lose her enthusiasm to get well soon, because on the other hand Hana also received support from her family and closest people. Hana emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen our relationship with God, thinking positively and staying patient, always implementing 3M, increasing body immunity, and encouraging friends who are exposed to Covid-19.

Afdal Lul Zikri from the West Sumatra Children’s Forum also received the experience of getting a negative stigma, which often aggravated the patient’s condition, causing frustration and decreased immunity. For this reason, during his independent isolation, Afdal always tries to comfort the patients who are in the same room with him.

“I don’t think Covid-19 is a disgrace, we, as people who have been exposed, should be able to educate the wider community about the importance of providing support for exposed patients, not giving a negative stigma and even shunning and isolating it. They need support and enthusiasm to get well soon, if we cannot provide assistance in the form of food or other things, it is enough to provide support and not give them a bad stigma, “said Afdal.

Hearing from the experiences of these children who have been exposed to Covid-19, Minister Bintang was deeply moved and proud. In addition, Minister Bintang also emphasized all children and the wider community not to provide a negative stigma for Covid-19 patients and must strengthen each other.

“This must be a note and a joint solution, we must carry out more massive socialization and education with innovation to the public that people who are exposed to Covid-19 are not a disgrace. Instead, we must have empathy, strengthen and support one another. Children, you are extraordinary children, mothers are very proud of your enthusiasm, who still think positively and can take lessons from your experiences during your exposure to Covid-19. Stay enthusiastic, always be healthy, become an inspiration for all my friends, ”said Minister Bintang.

Furthermore, Minister Bintang also conveyed the importance of the role of local government through related offices to socialize the Family Health Protocol. “We are waiting for the real work of each region in order to reduce Covid-19 exposure in the family cluster. The importance of efforts in synergy together, to be able to strengthen the prevention and handling of Covid-19 in Indonesia, “concluded Minister Bintang.

The Ministry of PPPA together with the Ministry of Health and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) have compiled a Family Health Protocol as a guide for implementing the principles of preventing and controlling Covid-19 transmission in the family. This protocol regulates 4 (four) important topics, namely the General Health Protocol in the Family; Health Protocols When a Member is Exposed; Family Health Protocol when Activities Outside the Home; and Health Protocols in the Neighborhood Where There Are Exposure Residents. To make it easier for the public to understand the Family Health Protocol, the Ministry of PPPA has made Communication, Information and Education (KIE) materials related to the protocol which can be accessed at http://bit.ly/protokolk Healthkel Keluarga.
