Ministry of Social Affairs Is Ready For Rehabilitation of 305 Children Exploitation Victims

Social Minister Juliari P Batubara said he was ready to carry out the recovery and rehabilitation of 305 underage children who were victims of sexual violence by foreigners from the French FAC alias Frans.
Juliari said that he would immediately prepare a number of locations in Jakarta for hundreds of children if needed later.
“We are ready to accommodate victims if needed to be rehabilitated. Certainly if given the mandate to carry out rehabilitation we are ready during the legal process and the recovery process,” said Juliari when in a press statement at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Thursday (07/09/2020).
Juliari also said that she was concerned about the unfolding of cases of exploitation of these children who continue to repeat. However, he was also proud because this case was successfully revealed.
According to Juliari, later all parties need to be assisted in order to prevent cases of exploitation of children.
“The easiest is that the early warning system must be better. I think the Jakarta Police is very good at being able to uncover this case,” he said.
Reported earlier, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police succeeded in dismantling cases of economic and / or sexual exploitation of 305 underage children by French citizens in several hotels in Jakarta.
The number was seen in the video recording on the perpetrator’s laptop.
Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Nana Sujana revealed, this case was revealed after officers received information about a case of child exploitation in a hotel in West Jakarta.
“There are 305 children under age based on video data that is on the laptop in the form of films. So all the data that there are video actors. There are videos hidden in the room when doing the action,” Nana said on the same occasion.
On the same occasion, Chair of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) Susanto, asked the Regional Government (Pemda) to tighten supervision and control of a number of hotels in Jakarta. Because, the perpetrators run the action in a number of hotels.
“Because it is suspected that this case is the crime scene at the hotel, so of course this is a warning for all of us and also for the Regional Government to supervise and control hotels, lodging, entertainment venues in our environment,” Susanto said.
Susanto said that close supervision of entertainment venues and hotels is very important to prevent various cases, especially the exploitation of children which continues to recur.
“It is possible that the management does not know, but it seems that this is happening. This is important while increasing internal control for hotel management so that our children do not become sexual objects,” he said.
He also reminded all parties and parents to always supervise the surrounding environment and not hesitate to report if you find anything suspicious.
“This is a trigger for parents of the community to cooperate with each other, even if it is not our children, but then in the area we see movements that lead to sexual exploitation, we must be aware, we must all take preventive measures as well as report the police if there is any suspicion,” he said.
Parents need to be vigilant and recommended to always supervise the child’s playing environment so that children’s safety is maintained.
