President: Prepare a Covid-19 Vaccine Plan Well
Detiktoday.com – President Joko Widodo instructed his staff to prepare in detail and carefully the plan for giving the Covid-19 vaccine. In addition to the proper preparation needed regarding vaccine procurement and distribution, education on the plan must also be carried out properly.
“I ask for this vaccine not to be in a hurry because it is very complex. So I hope that the vaccine is really prepared, especially public communication, related to halal and haram, what kind of price, quality, and distribution,” he said while chairing a limited meeting on anticipating the spread of Covid-19 during the long holiday at the end of October 2020 at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday, 19 October 2020.
According to the President, the fundamental thing that must be taken into account is at the later implementation stage where it is not an easy thing to do so that it is necessary to be careful for the sake of public safety and health.
“The critical point of the vaccination later is the implementation. Do not think it is easy to implement. It is not easy. What is the process, who is the first to be injected first, why should he be properly explained to the public. These public communication processes must be prepared,” he said. .
Training for medical personnel and those who are in direct contact with the vaccination plan is also deemed necessary to obtain adequate training. As is well known, these vaccines require special treatment until later they are given to the public.
“Because the vaccine also has to get specific treatment and treatment. Each vaccine is different. I ask WHO Indonesia to involve it so they can provide trainings so that the standards become clear,” said the President.
