The General Secretariat of the House of Representatives to Tighten Covid-19 Health Protocols

Detiktoday.com – The Secretary General of the Indonesian Parliament Indra Iskandar revealed that there were at least 40 people consisting of 18 members of the Indonesian Parliament and 22 experts, staff members and employees of the General Affairs Office who were exposed to Covid-19. This number has not even reached entirely, because there are members of the council who asked not to be published when reporting themselves exposed to the Corona virus.

“We have data about 40, 18 from various factions, then about 22 of them are from TA (Experts), there are expert staff, there are cleaning services, there are also employees. So the total number mentioned is 40, of which 18 members are actually the minimum number because there are also members who personally told me that they were positive after being swab but didn’t want to be informed, “said Indra to the media crew at Gedung DPR, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/10/2020).

However, Indra stated that he would not impose a lockdown but would tighten the security of the DPR RI Building. Different from offices in Jakarta, along with the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), the DPR has a mechanism that is decided upon in the DPR. Therefore the decision regarding the handling of the Covid-19 outbreak at the DPR referred to the Covid-19 Task Force.

“The DPR’s situation cannot be decided, such as restrictions on offices in Jakarta and we will not lock down, but tighten it. Actually the term is so that we are indeed in this recessionary period, we want to disinfect and sterilize work spaces, faction rooms and AKD, in the near future starting next week. We will tighten all the guests passing by without any need, that is not allowed, ”he said.

Regarding performance, Indra will limit his employees so that only Echelon I, II, III and IV are required to work from office. According to him, service aspects must be prioritized. Jobs to support animal activities must be completed and prioritized.

“Only Echelon I, II, III, and IV are obliged to enter. The rest of the work is done for work from home (WFH). Of course, because we work for DPR members, our duties are adult, so we do not make a percentage of people who enter or attend the office or at home, but everything is flexible based on the interests of the council, “he said.

The Covid-19 Task Force, continued Indra, had been formed within the scope of the General Affairs Office. “This task force monitors and tracing then carries out reports for our health service unit. We even monitor everything indicated 24 hours and report problems related to Covid. So 24 hours we monitor it, “said Indra.
