Train Children Must Know! This is the New Normal Scheme on KRL

PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) will issue several new policies to deal with the new normal environment in the Electric Train (KRL) environment.

In new normal, PT KCI will continue to carry out health protocols that have been running so far, which is obliged to wear masks while in the station area and inside the KRL, check the body temperature of passengers, and apply physical distancing or maintain a distance in accordance with existing markers in the station area and on the train.

PT KCI's Corporate Communications VP, Anne Purba said that at certain times when there were heavy users there would be isolation at a number of station points so that the number of people on the platform and inside the train could be controlled. If needed, officers will also open and close the station entrance.

"Currently PT KCI has also provided additional sink facilities in addition to those already available in the toilet, so that KRL users can use their hands to wash their hands before and after using KRL. In addition, hand sanitizer facilities at the station and those carried by escort officers on the train are also still available, "Anne said in an official statement quoted by AFP on Thursday (05/28/2020).
Trains and stations are also increasingly being kept clean. Before the Corona virus pandemic struck, all trains and stations were routinely cleaned both when operating serving passengers and after operational hours. Since the pandemic, this cleaning has been supplemented with disinfectant fluids and routine disinfectant spraying at stations and KRL facilities.

Surfaces that are routinely touched by passengers at the station such as vending machines, electronic ticket gates, seats, to banisters are also cleaned at least nine times a day.

To maintain cleanliness, the musala of the station during the COVID-19 pandemic did not provide carpets, prayer rugs, sarong and mukena. This policy will continue to prevent the transmission of worship equipment that is shared.

All users are advised not to speak directly or via cell phone because one of the COVID-19 infections can be through droplets or fluids that come out of the mouth and nose when they cough, sneeze or talk.
