Detiktoday.com – Almost 7 months after the new type of corona virus has spread throughout the world, scientists are still trying to understand the virus that causes Covid-19, research continues to be carried out, both on symptoms, transmission, until transmission, WHO continues to update its guidelines. Latest, WHO recognizes evidence obtained by a number of studies that the corona virus can spread through the air, on Thursday (07/09/2020), the world health organization released an official statement that mentioned a number of studies showing that the corona virus can survive in the air, especially in the room closed, and can be contagious.

President Joko Widodo asked his staff to move quickly in the field to respond to the positive rise in Covid-19 cases in Indonesia. The Head of State emphasized that his ranks continue to focus on testing, tracking, and treating patients infected with Covid-19, especially in eight provinces that still have high transmission rates.

“Keep our attention to ensure 3T: testing, tracing, and treatment with special priority for 8 provinces, namely East Java, DKI Jakarta, West Java, South Sulawesi, Central Java, North Sumatra, and Papua, (and South Kalimantan),” the President said when chairing a limited meeting regarding the acceleration of handling the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday, July 13, 2020.

The president then reminded his staff to improve health facilities in hospitals along with soaring positive cases in a number of provinces. In addition, the Head of State also asked again to increase PCR testing by increasing the number of laboratories operating in the regions, as well as with the support of mobile PCR laboratories so that the target number of testing could be achieved.

“We hope that later the target according to what I submit can be achieved by 30 thousand (testing),” said the President.

On this occasion, the President mentioned the need for border control and inter-regional travel and transportation to prevent further mobility and distribution.

“Control of border areas and travel and transportation across regions must really be a concern for us because we have also seen imported cases from abroad increase,” the President said.

Meanwhile, the Head of State also saw the need for massive re-socialization of the National Health Discipline Movement so that people return and further improve their discipline related to the obligation to wear masks, keep a safe distance, and frequently wash their hands.

During a working visit to East Java some time ago, President Joko Widodo found a survey that said that around 70 percent of the local people were active without wearing a mask. For this reason, socialization and supervision that is more stringent is needed than ever before.

“I want to mobilize the TNI, Polri volunteers, mass organizations, until the figures on campus all move to take part in the campaign as well as supervise it,” said the President.

Furthermore, the President reminded that all the socialization and communication efforts carried out persuasively, communicatively, and participatively to invite and build public trust in the importance of the discipline of implementing health protocols during this pandemic.

“Communication that builds trust, which is based on science, science, and data science in order to arouse public participation, especially the vulnerable,” said the President.
