“I want to make sure that this team is an objective fact-finding team, this team cannot be linked to a government order. Here there are people whose minds cannot buy, from the campus there is I Dewa Gede Palguna, there is Apoli Safanpo, there is Makarim Wibisono, there is Bambang Purwoko. That cannot be dictated, so it is impossible for this team to lie, ”said the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD in Jakarta, Tuesday (13/10/2020).

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs requested that TGPF finish its investigative report by Friday (17/10). The Coordinating Minister himself admitted that he had received the investigation report from the 7th to the 12th October.

“Now the team has fully reported it and only needs to prepare a more systematic report and be given until the 17th to make a report and discuss all the facts found so that it comes to conclusive conclusions that are convincing,” said the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD.

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs said that the team received information from key witnesses about the shooting of the TNI and Pastor Yeremia, so that this information could also be used by the police to arrest the perpetrators. “This team has also met key witnesses. Here what is owned by the team is primary data. There are key witnesses, then the victim’s family, all of the crime scene processing with the victim’s family has been made, ”he said.

The Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security said that the work of TGPF was also facilitated by the opening of the victim’s family to the investigation process being carried out. The victim’s family even gave permission to the team to autopsy the body of Pastor Jeremia, who was the victim of the shooting, which is strongly suspected of being carried out by the Papuan KKB at that time.

Meanwhile, Head of TGPF Benny Mamoto said that the team will continue to monitor the results of the investigation until it is in the investigation process.
