The Job Creation Law Supports and Provides Ease for UMK

Detiktoday.com – The Employment Creation Law (UU), which was drafted with the spirit to open the widest possible range of employment opportunities and improve the livelihood of working families, provides a great opportunity for micro and small entrepreneurs (MSEs) to start a business or even develop their business.
This opportunity will be obtained by them through the ease of licensing regulated in the Job Creation Law. The law aims to simplify the procedures that have been running so far.
“Overlapping regulations and complicated procedures are trimmed. Business licensing for Micro, Small and Small Enterprises (MSEs) is no longer needed. It’s just registration. Very simple,” said President Joko Widodo in an official statement on Friday, October 9, 2020, at the Bogor Presidential Palace. , West Java.
Previously, the process that MSEs had to go through was likened to large enterprises which in the end made it difficult for those who wanted to start their business to take care of permits. The government is very aware of the potential of MSEs as an economic driver so that in this Job Creation Law their role will be supported through changes in regulations that facilitate this.
Convenience will also be obtained in the process of forming a limited liability company (PT) and cooperatives. To form a PT for example, now there is no longer a minimum capital limitation requirement so that everyone will find it easy to apply for the formation of a PT.
“The formation of cooperatives is made easier. The number (members) is only nine people for the cooperative to be formed. We hope there will be more cooperatives in the country,” added the President.
Halal certification is also mentioned in the law. Now, MSEs engaged in the food and beverage sector can apply for halal certification for their products at costs borne by the government. In other words, the Job Creation Law provides guarantees for MSEs actors to get halal certification for free.
Another licensing process that wants to be simplified through the Job Creation Law is a permit for fishing boats to operate. The Head of State explained that the licensing would be made easier by managing it at one door.
“Previously, they had to submit to the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), the Ministry of Transportation, and other agencies, now it is enough from the units in the KKP,” he said.
This regulation is expected to make it easier for small fishermen and promote the fishing industry in the country.
The estuary of the whole complicated regulatory simplification and facilities provided to MSEs is to support efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption in the country.
“This is clear because by simplifying, cutting, and integrating into the licensing system electronically, illegal levies can be eliminated,” said the President.
