Flight Simulator 2020 There is Papua Airport

Detiktoday.com – After a long wait, Microsoft finally officially announced the launch date for the latest title in its popular flight simulation game series, Flight Simulator 2020.

The flight simulation game, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 will be released on August 18, 2020. Indonesia gets an airport ration that can be used in the game.

Not a big airport like Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, Kuala Namu in Medan, or Sultan Hasanuddin in Makassar, but a small airport (airstrip) in the interior of Papua, namely Bugalaga.

The airport in Bugalaga is more accurately referred to as an airstrip, because it is only a simple runway, with a still grassy hard surface, and does not have terminal facilities for passengers or goods.

Bugalaga itself is one of the villages in Biandoga District, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua. The airstrip at Bugalaga is on a hilltop, about 1,900 meters (5,700 feet) above sea level.

Only small pilot aircraft, such as the Cessna Caravan or Pilatus Porter, can land on this airstrip.

Challenging locations, such as a small runway over the mountains with sometimes limited visibility, and the beauty of the natural surroundings may be the reason Asobo Studio included Bugalaga in Flight Simulator 2020. This airstrip has also appeared in the documentary film “Worst Place to be a Pilot”, tells the experience of pilots flying in the interior of Papua.

To note, every airport in the world will indeed appear in the Flight Simulator 2020 game, but not all of them can be used for takeoff / landing.

In total there are 30 airports available that can be used for takeoff / landing in the Standard version.

As for the Deluxe and Premium versions, they each get 35 and 40 airports.

Bugalaga Airstrip itself is available in three versions of the Flight Simulator 2020 game, both Standard, Deluxe, and Premium. Full list of airports available in the game at launch.
