Local Government of Kuningan is Urged to Own RIPPDA

Detiktoday.com – Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI Hetifah Sjaifudian said Kuningan Regency may not be well known among tourists, even though Kuningan has many extraordinary tourism potentials that can be developed such as a tourist village. To that end, he appealed to the Kuningan Regional Government to have a Regional Tourism Development Master Plan (RIPPDA).
Hetifah explained, Commission X DPR RI working visit to Kuningan Regency to get direct information on tourism potential in Kuningan. This is because the central government itself has not made Kuningan Regency a priority, for example to obtain a special allocation fund in the tourism sector. So this might be an input for the DPR RI so that in the future, Kuningan’s potential must be supported through various programs.
“Alhamdulillah, the government has quite a good plan and hopefully for the next 2021 the potential of tourism villages can be developed, supported and facilitated,” said Hetifah after a meeting with the Kuningan Regent and staff at the Kuningan Regent’s Office, West Java, Thursday (08 / 10/2020).
In addition, according to Hetifah, the education sector in Kuningan also needs to get support so that its human resources have a forward and more advanced mindset to develop the region. “We want that in the future education in Kuningan will receive support, as now they have a school revitalization program and it is hoped that all areas can be touched,” he said.
In his presentation, Kuningan Regent Acep Purnama said the tourism sector during the Covid-19 pandemic experienced a downturn. To revive the tourism sector during this pandemic, the local government of Kuningan developed other supporting factors for tourism.
“We want tourism to be a mainstay, because brass has fairly cool weather. One of the ways to revive the tourism sector during this pandemic is to develop the regional creative economy, where the creative economy can increase regional productivity by absorbing labor and increasing the strength of regional superior products, “concluded Acep.
