Postponement of the 2020 Olympics Disrupts Greysia Polii Marriage Plans

The postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics disrupts a number of personal plans that athletes have designed. Including wedding plans.

One of them is experienced by Indonesian women’s badminton athlete Greysia Polii. Actually Greysia has plans to get married after 2020.

But because the 2020 Olympics was postponed to 2021, he had to postpone the plan.

Because the Tokyo Olympics became the main target of Greysia with her partner in the women’s doubles number, Apriyani Rahayu.

So that both of them will be preoccupied with a variety of special training programs that have been prepared by the Pelatnas PBSI trainers in order to pursue their performance targets at the grand Games.

“Indeed, after 2020, there are personal plans for marriage, but when will it wait,” Greysia said in a virtual interview via Instagram live with PB PBSI on Wednesday (5/20/2020).

Greysia did not avoid actually wanting to get married and have a family soon. Moreover, he was also engaged to his girlfriend, Felix Djimin in 2018.

Not only that, the badminton player who had reached the age of three heads also revealed that he had often discussed with his trainer, Eng Hian, about the regeneration of women’s double badminton.

“I have often chatted with Koh Didi (Eng Hian’s nickname), can I relay this baton to the others. I saw them, not only Apri but I also saw other siblings,” he said.

Greysia Polii is one of the senior players at Pelatnas. He joined Pelatnas since 2003 ago.

The 32-year-old badminton player has also performed twice at the Olympics in 2012 and 2016 with different partners.

Before being paired with Apriyani, Greysia had partnered with three players, namely Jo Novita, Meiliana Jauhari, and Nitya Krishinda Maheswari.
