The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Encourages the Acceleration of Maritime Infrastructure Development in Yogyakarta

Detiktoday.com – Expert Staff for Territorial Sovereignty and Maritime Affairs of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Rear Admiral TNI Yusup said that the Special Region of Yogyakarta has tremendous potential sources of marine wealth which until now have not been able to be explored or exploited optimally.

“In optimally utilizing the geographical position and marine resources for the welfare of the people of Yogyakarta, the Yogyakarta Regional Government has a target of completing the Tanjung Adikarto port which has been built since 2004, which has yet to be completed,” said Laksda Yusup in Yogyakarta, Wednesday (14 / 10/2020).

In the coordination meeting on strategic issues in the special province of Yogyakarta, Yusup revealed that the cause of the unresolved Port of Tanjung Adikarto was due to the problem of breakwater and high sedimentation technology.

“The follow-up to the construction of the port will implement the real vision of Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan HB X from 2017 to 2022, namely welcoming the Indian Ocean Century for the glory of the human dignity of Yogyakarta,” he said.

The further development of the Tanjung Adikarto Fishery Port must be formulated in an integrated manner through the affairs of: Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Environment, Public Works and Spatial Planning, Technology and science, and Community and Village Empowerment.

According to him, in accordance with the Vision of the Governor of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan HB X from 2017 to 2022, in line with President Joko Widodo’s agenda regarding Indonesia as a World Maritime Axis, the acceleration of the development of the Tanjung Adikarto Port needs to be carried out immediately and the obstacles faced must be resolved immediately.

“We, from the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, want to know how the steps and strategies to accelerate the Development of Maritime Infrastructure in the Special Region of Yogyakarta through the Use of Technology to Maintain Political, Legal and Security Stability,” said Laksda Yusup.
