President: The Cure Rate and Treatment Standard for Covid-19 Patients Must Continue to be Improved

A number of achievements were made, such as increasing the patient’s cure rate, the standard of treatment, to treatment in isolation places.

“The data I received was that as of October 11, the average active case of Covid in Indonesia was 19.97 percent. The average number of active cases decreased from 27 September 2020 which amounted to 22.46 percent. This was also followed by the average recovery rate as of October 11, which reached 76.48 percent, which is better than the world’s average recovery rate of 75.03 percent.
“Therefore, the average rate of recovery must continue to be improved, continuously improved, by increasing the standard of treatment both in hospitals, ICUs, and in isolation places,” said the President.
On this occasion, the Head of State emphasized one thing in order to reduce the average death rate due to Covid-19. The mortality rate is currently recorded at 3.55 percent which, despite registering an improvement from two weeks ago which was 3.77 percent, is still above the world mortality rate of 2.88 percent.
“I think our big task is here, how can this mortality rate be kept down. It is also important to suppress positive cases by continuing to convey the importance of discipline in health protocols,” he said.
Based on data obtained by the President, the increase in handling the Covid-19 pandemic was shown by the Provinces of East Java and South Sulawesi. It is hoped that this can become an example for other provinces to control the pandemic in their respective regions by continuing to closely monitor controls and increasing the number of examinations, tracing and treatment of Covid-19 patients.
The Head of State, in his direction, asked that the road map for the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine be presented this week. In addition, in the next two weeks, the priority for handling the pandemic will be aimed at 12 districts / cities that have quite high active cases and account for 30 percent of the total national active cases.
“Namely in Ambon City, North Jakarta, Bogor Regency, Depok City, Bekasi City, Jayapura City, Padang City, Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, Pekanbaru, South Jakarta and East Jakarta,” he added.
As for efforts to restore the national economy, the Head of State also explained that as of October 7, the realization of the budget for the social assistance cluster had reached 66 percent, the MSME cluster was 76 percent, and the additional energy subsidy cluster had reached 94 percent.
