Economic Recession Shadow Indonesia, Government Needs to Improve Performance

Anis explained the economic growth predictions of countries in the world where Singapore is predicted to be minus 6.8 percent this year, Malaysia minus 8 percent, America minus 9.7 percent, Britain minus 15.4 percent, Germany 11.2 percent, France minus 17 , 2 percent, Japan minus 8.3 percent. Even the IMF predicts that this year’s world economic output will shrink by almost 5 percent, or almost 2 percent worse than the forecast released in April.

Furthermore, this Member of the House of Representatives Commission XI believes that the government needs to focus more on handling the impact of Covid-19. According to him, aspects of people’s health cannot be underestimated. “Almost all people complained about the slow handling of Covid-19. Even President Jokowi himself also complained about this problem,” said Anis.

Not only that, Anis also highlighted the uptake of funds handling Covid-19 which turned out to be still very low. “This is a bad record for the government,” he said. Therefore Anis asked the government to improve its performance so that the handling of the impact of Covid-19, especially in the economic field, could run better.
