A month in Bandung without training, this said Beni Okto
Detiktoday.com – It has been a month since Persib’s retainer was summoned to gather in Bandung. However, the training agenda has not yet been held even though the coach had planned it in early July. The latest news says that Persib will hold another training on August 10, 2020 after an agreement has been reached on a 50 percent salary cut.
One of the Persib players who have arrived in Bandung since early July is Beni Oktovianto. He left his hometown in Bontang because he was asked to gather like other teammates. The player said that he felt regret for rushing to Bandung but the training was postponed.
Previously, the players were disbanded and returned to their respective villages in March. That is because the competition was stopped because the Covid-19 pandemic attacked and disrupted all activities. For several months, players are only asked to train independently in their home environment.
In the end, he just stayed in Bandung without any special activities designed by the team because Persib canceled training according to the original plan. “It is very tight, I think I have rehearsed, but it hasn’t been, it’s been a month here, it hasn’t been trained either,” explained Beni when interviewed by the media crew on Thursday (6/8).
Beni also tries to find activities to fill his spare time while in Bandung. Occasionally he joined fun football with the community to maintain physical condition and also the touch of processing in round skin. Like when playing football with a team of journalists in Bandung.
“So far, I have been in Bandung for almost a month, maybe the activities are internal games and fun football,” continued the player who in the 2019 season defended the Persiba Balikpapan team in League 2.
He hopes Persib will realize the plan to start training again next week. To prepare for the restart of League 1 2020. “Training still does not know either, reportedly the 10th (August) but does not know yet, he said in the near future training,” explained Beni
Beni admitted that he started to recover his physical condition by training in the gym. As for the touch of the ball, he said the session would be honed when the team trained again. “Maybe the touch hasn’t returned yet, if it doesn’t take too long to return the touch, if for example the adaptation with other players is fast,” he explained.
