Opening a Coordination Meeting across Youth Service Sectors, Indonesian Menpora Emphasizes the Importance of Joint Synergy Towards Excellent Human Resources

Detiktoday.com – The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Zainudin Amali opened a virtual cross-sector strategy coordination meeting of youth services, Tuesday (13/10). On this occasion, the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports said that to get to superior human resources, it is necessary to synergize together.

“No matter how good the program is, if it is not run synergistically it will be useless. Therefore, I appreciate this cross-sector coordination meeting. Superior human resources will lead our country to progress, “said the Indonesian Menpora.

The Indonesian Menpora explained that the role of youth is very significant in the progress of a nation. In line with this, the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports has prepared a priority program for 2020-2024. Two of the five priority programs prepared by the Indonesian Menpora, contain youth.

The words of the two priority programs are: youth empowerment to be creative, innovative, independent, and competitive and foster an entrepreneurial spirit. Then, strengthening the Pancasila ideology and the character and culture of the nation among youth.

“Indeed, this is one thing that must be done and is a priority for the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports. Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2017 has also mandated coordination across ministries / institutions to do various things about youth activities or activities, “said the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports.

The Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports also seriously pays attention to youth leadership development, scouting, and youth entrepreneurship development. This big theme is a challenge in itself to be jointly prepared.

“We know that we must prepare youth well. Because the future of a nation depends on the readiness of its youth. Youth affairs are not the only responsibility of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Various ministries / agencies also have the same responsibility, “said the Indonesian Menpora.

“However, in the Ministry of Youth and Sports specifically the 2020-2024 priority program has put youth programs into priority programs. We hope that other ministries / institutions will also work together so that the youth program can be synergized, “continued the Indonesian Menpora.

Furthermore, the Indonesian Menpora explained that this coordination meeting was also part of an effort to synchronize various program activities in the youth sector. For this reason, this virtual meeting is expected to produce better recommendations for the future. “Today the coordination meeting is very important to discuss the related ministries / institutions. For that I hope this meeting can produce a good recommendation, “concluded the Indonesian Menpora.

Present at the meeting, Special Staff of the Vice President, Lukmanul Hakim, Deputy of Youth Development of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports Asrorun Ni’am Sholeh, Acting Deputy for Quality Coordination of Children, Women and Youth at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Satya Sananugraha.

Then, Deputy for the Coordination of the Digital Economy, Manpower and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Mohammad Rudy Salahuddin. Also present were representatives from the Presidential Secretariat, the Regional Secretariat, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Industry, Bappenas, and a number of other invited guests.
