Enjoying Retirement, Tontowi Ahmad Wants Vacation to Visit His Wife’s Village
A number of plans have been prepared by Tontowi Ahmad following his decision to hang a racket from the badminton stage earlier this week.
Tontowi Ahmad retires on Monday (5/18/2020). The decision was announced through his personal Instagram account @tontowiahmad_.
One of the factors that made the man born in Banyumas, Central Java, July 18, 1987, retired due to family factors.
During his active career in the badminton arena, Tontowi Ahmad had practically not much time for family.
Especially for his wife Michelle Harminc and their two sons, Danish Arsenio Ahmad and Arsya Alfarezel Ahmad.
For this reason, Tontowi Ahmad wants to enjoy retirement by spending more vacations with his wife and children.
Especially on vacation to his wife’s hometown. Michelle Harminc is known to be an Indonesian-Austrian crossbreed woman.
“Now want to spend time with family first,” said Tontowi Ahmad in a written statement received by Suara.com, Wednesday (5/20/2020).
“Before the Corona outbreak, there were vacation plans with the family because it had never had vacation time,” he said.
“I want to go to Austria, my wife’s village, I’ve never been there either,” explained Tontowi Ahmad.
Besides Austria, Tontowi Ahmad also plans to take his wife and children on vacation to England.
Precisely to the Birmingham Arena, a place that became the venue of the prestigious All England badminton tournament.
As is known, Tontowi Ahmad once recorded a successive hat trick in All England when paired with Liliyana Natsir; 2012, 2013 and 2014.
“I also want to take my family to Birmingham. I want to show my children if their dad has won the All England champion there,” concluded Tontowi Ahmad.
