Cool! Detachment 9, Local Games from Manado Is Enter Beta Phase Mode

Big Dade, a game developer from Manado, announced the presence of his new game, entitled Detachment 9.

Through this game, Big Dade introduces a new genre in the world of esports called Mobile Cover Shooter (MCS). This game enters a closed beta testing (CBT) on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 and is planned for release on August 17, 2020 for the Android platform.

Detachment 9 invites players to be able to feel the sensation of a real battle by seeking protection and shooting at the same time. In this game, movement, distraction, strategy, and teamwork become elements that are no less important than the ability to shoot.

Players are also encouraged to use as few bullets as possible because of their limited amount and do not increase throughout the game.

No less interesting, this game also brings players to enjoy the natural beauty and culture of Indonesia through visual locations, in-game items, and musical arrangements. Products made in Indonesia, including weapons, clothing, and other equipment, were introduced, along with the concepts of nationalism and peace that were the background of Detachment 9.

“We are working with several esports teams to provide digital merchandise in this game, such as a jersey that can be used by fans in the game,” said Andria Wahyudi, CEO of Big Dade in his official statement on Thursday (5/21/2020).

Andria also hopes that this game can become a new milestone in the gaming industry in Indonesia.

“At present there are an estimated 40-60 million esports game players in Indonesia, but unfortunately the popular game today is not a locally made game. Detachment 9 is trying to take this market and win domestic competition, “continued the man who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science, Klabat University, Manado.

Behind the scenes, the Detachment 9 game was developed by 8 game development teams in the city of Manado. The team consists of various backgrounds, including academics, students, police, and members of the TNI whose aim is to introduce the natural beauty and culture of Indonesia to the eyes of the world.

Previously, the team successfully created a popular game called Manguni Squad which was downloaded by more than 48,000 players from 92 countries.
